Tuccaro is a proud sponsor of the Holy Trinity Northern Knights Varsity Boys Basketball team.  The team is currently ranked 5th in the province and have been invited to the Western Canadian Basketball Championships this year.  We wish the team the best of luck in the tournament and the rest of their season here in Fort McMurray!

Christmas is a magical time and all children should feel that magic.  Santa’s Anonymous is a student run organization that spends countless hours fundraising and preparing packages for families in need in the Wood Buffalo area.

Festival of Trees

The Christmas season was kicked off in Fort McMurray as it is every year with the Northern Lights Regional Health Foundation’s Festival of Trees.  The health of people in our community is a core value of our company.  This event helps the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre provide the very best care for everyone in the region, and Tuccaro is happy to be one of the many companies in Fort McMurray to help.

Dave awarded a Doctor of the University, honoris causa

National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a day recognising and celebrating the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples of Canada.  This day is an occasion for all Canadians to celebrate the rich contribution Aboriginal people have made to Canada.

A proud Aboriginal company, we would like to thank all of our employees for their hard work, loyalty and dedication in helping to make us a leader within the Aboriginal community!

The 2019 FNMI Festival will beheld on the McMurray Metis Office Grounds 441 Sakitawaw trail in Gregoire.  Throughout the day, there will be kids’ activities, vendors BBQ and live entertainment.  Everyone is welcome, Free for all to attend.

HERO

The Local HERO Foundation (Helicopter Emergency Response Organization) held its annual fundraiser on May 4th in support of saving lives in the region. This important organization raises funds and awareness in support of Northeastern Alberta’s only 24/7 helicopter emergency medical services, a critical lifesaving service in our community.  Attendees were treated to a fun and festive Mardi Gras-themed evening, live band and auction all in support of this important cause which raised $245,000! The Foundation relies heavily on donations from the community, and we are one of the many companies pleased to support this worthy organization. For those who missed the event, individuals are still able to contribute to the Speed of Life campaign via PayPal on the ymmHERO website and the Local HERO Foundation Facebook page.

Play Ball

It may seem hard to believe with the recent weather, but spring is right around the corner and that means baseball is starting.

NTS is proud to be one of the Fort McMurray Minor Baseball Association’s House League sponsors for this season.  Over 500 kids will be on diamonds all over town for the next couple of months.

Spring Fling

The Northern Lights Regional Health Foundation held its annual Spring Fling on March 16th.  The event raised over $150,000 for the foundation that is constantly improving and innovating health care in our region.

A VIP reception was held prior to the event to recognize the donors to the Gratitude Campaign, that reached its goal of $16 million dollars in just 3 years.

Annual Regional Aboriginal Recognition Awards

Tuccaro was the presenting sponsor of the 31st Annual Regional Aboriginal Recognition Awards held on February 9th 2019.  The awards were created over 30 years ago to recognize positive contributions being made to our community.

Minor Hockey Week

Happy Minor Hockey Week to all the players, coaches, volunteers, officials and parents!  As the week comes to end and the medals are handed out remember how much you love the game!
